In Updates

We’re getting there! Bringing a new product into the world is indeed not as easy as pie, but we’re doing our absolute best, and still on track for shipping PIEs in July. In this update, we will first share a more detailed timeline, and then briefly go over what our hardware and software teams have been working on.

As you can see below, we still have a lot of work get done within the next few weeks. (We won’t bore you with the details: If you have any questions about the manufacturing schedule, please shoot us a message!)
One important date is July 5th. That’s when we will send out Kickstarter surveys to start collecting your shipping information. The survey will be used only for shipping purposes and should take no more than a single minute to complete. You will have at least 10 days to fill it out and we will provide you with more details later on.

Manufacturing Update 5
The first batch of manufactured PIEs is out! The 5th run of our injection molding produced 15 samples that will be used for various tests. One of these will be sent off to Apple to get our mobile app published on the App Store.
This week, we’ll be making microscopic and final revisions to the fastening gears for smoother movements. We expect everything related to injection molding should be complete by June 29th!

Mobile App Update
On the software side, one of the things we’ve just started working on is a measuring guide. Below are some images of the first version for eight different body parts. We hope these come in handy for those of you who are not used to measuring body sizes.

That’s it for this week! If you have any questions, comments or ideas, please message us or send us an email at [email protected]. We will soon start to upload more FAQ articles on our FAQ page (, so check that out as well!
